Lu Yi (Louie) was a Ph.D. candidate with the CCWJ, joining in 2018. His work centred on scaling analysis of characteristic values under a moving heat source on a 2D panel. Louie enjoys exploring culturing differences and playing video games in his spare time. Louie received DB Robinson Graduate Scholarship, CWA Foundation UofA Graduate Student Award, Neil McEwen Memorial Graduate Scholarship in Welding Engineering, CWA Edmonton Chapter Scholarship for Graduate Student, UofA Faculty of Graduate Studies & Research Graduate Student Travel Award, UofA Graduate Student’s Association Academic Travel Award, Captain Thomas Farrell Greenhalgh Memorial Graduate Scholarship. He published Width of Thermal Features Induced by a 2-D Moving Heat Source.
